What we save

If you join, we save your email, ZIP code, product interest, signup time, consent version, email confirmation time and campaign source. Pending confirmation messages contain a private link that expires after 24 hours and is accessible only to authorized operators; expired outbox links are redacted during subsequent signup or verification activity. Stored email-provider retry payloads are redacted during subsequent enabled delivery activity. If you join from an item page, we also save that item’s identifier. We do not collect payment details.

Why we use it

To prepare the San Jose auctions and send the PerchBid launch and new-item updates you requested. Email delivery is being set up. A request saves your interest without reserving a product; marketing requires a separate email confirmation. Confirmation delivery is enabled only after sender setup. When enabled, our email provider processes your address and confirmation message; provider acceptance does not guarantee inbox delivery.

Where it goes

Signup records are stored with our website hosting and database providers and are available to authorized PerchBid staff. We do not sell or share the signup list for others’ advertising. An email delivery provider will process your address when updates begin.

Your choices

You can remove your signup with the private management link shown after you confirm your email, or a valid link from an earlier signup. We save that link on your device for convenience. Manage your signup. Future marketing emails will also provide an unsubscribe option. New requests require confirming inbox access before a removal link is issued. Submitting an address again does not grant access to an existing signup. Existing private removal links continue to work. If delivery is not enabled, your interest remains unconfirmed.

Browser storage and security

Saved finds stay on your device. We use a daily hash of the connecting IP address to limit signup abuse; these rate-limit records expire and are cleaned up during subsequent signups. Hosting providers may also process ordinary request logs for security. We do not use advertising pixels on this prelaunch site.

Reservation requests

When reservations open, we save your name, email, item and price, pickup preference, consent, request status and confirmed pickup details. The owner uses these details to arrange the reservation and records payment and handoff confirmations. We do not collect card details. Reservation consent does not subscribe you to marketing.

Your browser session stores the submitted request so a connection failure can be retried safely. Your private status link gives access to the item, price, status and pickup details; keep it private. The owner contacts you manually. No automatic reservation email is sent by this flow.

We keep a hash of the connecting IP address with requests to limit abuse. Reservation and event records are retained for fulfillment and support; launch-list removal does not remove transaction records.

Retention

We retain signup details while preparing and operating the launch list, until you withdraw or the list is retired. Removing a signup deletes its contact record and management tokens from the application database; provider backups and security logs may follow separate retention schedules.
